Frontiers News:

You may have noticed a redesign of our web site. The old one was moody and fancy for its time, but HTML these days is so overstuffed with crap that we're following a new philosophy: clean, simple, and readable. Who knew?

Massive overhaul and upgrades of the MUD are complete as of May 28, 2005. Changes implemented since January 2005:

greenballUpgraded hardware: 4-CPU UltraSparcII Enterprise 3000, 4GB RAM.

greenballUpgraded OS: From Solaris 8 to Solaris 10, the most advanced commercial UNIX available.

greenballUpgraded MUD driver: From v22b25 to v22.2b14. Extremely complicated, but worth every ounce of sweat.

greenballMud Lib changes: Fixed numerous bugs in inheritable library objects of NMVr6 lib. This is an ongoing process.

greenballWeb site reorganization: Cleaned up (most) broken links, updated format for readability, upgraded Java client to a modern version.
